Scene Description
A single unbroken tracking shot drifts forward through an abandoned carnival drowned in relentless rain, nearly swallowed by darkness. Most lights are dead. The few that remain flicker weakly, struggling to stay alive, their glow barely piercing the heavy fog. The ground is slick with black water, reflecting warped silhouettes rather than clear shapes.
A carousel turns almost imperceptibly, its motor silent, horses frozen in twisted poses. Every rotation produces a low metallic groan. The sound of children’s laughter plays backward, slowed and distorted, blending with wind and distant thunder until it’s unclear whether it’s real or imagined.
The camera moves closer to the ground, pushing forward with a slow, predatory intent. Rain strikes the lens aggressively; droplets smear the image, partially obscuring the frame. A single lightning flash reveals the funhouse mirrors. For less than a second, a tall, inhuman figure stands inside—motionless, face indistinct, eyes reflecting light like glass. Its reflection multiplies endlessly, but the real figure cannot be found.
